General

  1. My site gets redirected to www.mosaicglobe.com
    Your MosaicGlobe website address is http://mysite.mosaicglobe.com.
    When a "www." is in front of your domain it is redirected to the MosaicGlobe website. This is an error in the system that will be corrected during the next application upgrade. 
  2. I am trying to add a YouTube link into my site but all I see is the code.
    Before pasting the code into the page, select the < > button. This will allow you to edit the HTML code directly. See the YouTube tutorial for more details.
  3. When I view my site I see a 'FILE NOT FOUND' message.
    This most likely occurs when you have unpublished all of you pages. Login to you account and on the 'Manage Site' section click the 'Publish' link next to your page titles.

Page Specific

  1. GALLERY: Why is there is a red X where my image should be?
    This usually occurs when the upload process has been interrupted. The systems thinks the image is there, however it cannot be displayed or deleted. If this occurs, please email support@mosaicglobe.com to have the issue fixed.
  2. CONTACT PAGE: Why am I not receiving emails from my contact page?
    Make sure your email address is pasted into the To: field off the Contact edit page. The address should be a valid and full email address (name@domain.com).
    If you are using an online email account such as Hotmail, AOL, gMail, etc. Check to be sure the emails are not being put in a junk (spam) folder.

Page Editing

  1. I have pasted text into my site, why is the formatting unusual?
    You can paste content into the field from another program; however the results may be unpredictable. Web Site pages and some programs such as Microsoft's Word carry additional hidden code that may effect formatting. If you have copy already written in another program, first strip out the extra hidden content by pasting it into a simple text editor such as notepad. Then re-copy the text and paste it into your MosaicGlobe page. MAC USERS: Paste your copy into Text Editor and then select 'Format' - 'Make Plain Text'. Then re-copy the text and paste it into your MosaicGlobe page.
  2. How do I make an image align properly in my page?
    Place your cursor at the start of the line where you want the image to be before placing the image. From the image selection window ( btn_image-1.gif ) select the image you want and  choose either 'Right' or 'Left' from the 'Align' drop down menu. Review the "Image Management" section for more details.
  3. How can I resize the images in my page?
    Images can be resized within the text field by selecting the image and dragging the corners. However, to insure the best quality and quicker download speeds the images should be sized before uploading using image editing software such as Photoshop, Photoshop lite and iPhoto. *For basic image organization and editing try Picasa. A free application from Google.
  4. I am using a Mac. Why don't I see the text editor?
    Our in-line editor does not presently work with the default Mac web browser 'Safari' and we do not support Microsofts's IE Mac browser. For our Mac users we reccomend using the firefox browser. Download a free copy at Mozilla Firefox website.
